About the FDI range of readers
FDI offers readers integrating various protocols:
- OSDP/Wiegand readers are standard, open and enable communication between readers and controllers from different manufacturers,
- RS485/Wiegand readers are based on both the proprietary & secure FDI protocol and an open protocol,
- 2-wire readers are based on the FDI protocol and have been developed for the upgradable iPassan, Easy Door and Transit+ access control units.
For dual-protocol readers, the communication mode can be selected via a switch.
Reliable, safe readers
The entire range meets various safety criteria for optimum resistance:
- IK10 standard: FDI badge readers withstand shocks of up to 20 joules,
- IP65 standard: FDI readers are resistant to dust and water jets,
- Anti-tear by accelerometer for optimum security,
- Tropicalization of the electronic board for better insulation of all components.
Which features?
All FDI readers can be configured via a web portal called Partner. The programming platform can be used to configure readers and manage all badges, whether physical or virtual.

K-APP application uses your smartphone’s Bluetooth technology to operate like a conventional badge. It provides easy access to secure areas.It’s a single-device solution, secure and adaptable to multiple access systems.
K-APP is free and available for iOS and Android.
