Established in Cholet (France) since 2021, FDI operates a 7900 m² design and manufacturing site, 4000 m² of which is specially dedicated to production and storage. Each year, FDI installs and brazes more than 100 million components from 3,000 different references, thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment. To maintain its level of technological excellence, FDI renews its installation machines every 5 years.

Thanks to its expertise in designing and producing of electronic systems, FDI is able to produce specific specifications. FDI can also work on the basis of existing specifications following feasibility studies. FDI’s objective is to provide electronic solutions fully adapted to its partners’ needs.

To remain at the cutting edge of innovation, FDI invests every year in its R&D department. With 70 engineers, FDI design office is agile, adjusting its working methods according to customer needs and project specifics. Design office is structured into 4 skills centers for specialized expertise:

HHoroquartz offers its customers badge readers for time management, badge readers, interface cards and UTLs for access control and intrusion detection. FDI played a key role in drafting Horoquartz’s specifications. Electronic circuit components are chosen to be totally in line with the product’s lifecycle. For this support, FDI proposes an all-inclusive service that comprises: the design & technical study, the technical & mechanical study and development, the production tools (PCB, screen printing, etc.), Lexan and plastic injection.

AGS, expert in time management, has chosen to review the access control solution offered to its customers and to rely on the expertise of an industrial partner specializing in access management. FDI masters the industrialization of electronic assemblies intended to integrate access control, intercom, proximity reading or IoT products. Within the framework of this support, FDI offers a complete customized service: customization of the control units, readers and software.
