FDI promotes training of future talent by opening its doors to students
FDI places particular importance on welcoming students of all ages to its Cholet (49) production site. That’s why, every month, FDI offers students the opportunity to discover its professions, challenges, activities and infrastructures.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the world of industry and innovation, and to promote FDI’s know-how and expertise among young people.

FDI recently welcomed students from Lycée de l’Hyrôme and ESUPEC
Lycée de l’Hyrôme – Chemillé-en-Anjou (49)
This month, FDI opened its doors to students from Lycée de l’Hyrôme – Chemillé en Anjou (49). This high school, located between Angers and Cholet, has 160 students and trains them in electrical, digital and catering trades.
Lycée de l’Hyrôme students had the opportunity to visit EMS 4.0 FDI production site for the third year running.
ESUPEC – Cholet (49)
The same week, FDI welcomed students from ESUPEC – Cholet (49). Cholet-based business school trains students from bac +3 to bac +5 in the following fields:
- Communication & marketing,
- Accounting & management,
- IT.
This time, it was IT students who had the chance to discover FD’s professions and activities.
FDI unveils its design office to Hyrôme and ESUPEC students.
FDI’s aim is to introduce students to its research & development department, which includes :
- Hardware,
- Embedded software,
- Web & Mobile Development,
- Innovation Unit.
This approach enables students to identify missions and challenges specific to each department within the design office. By outlining different roles and responsibilities within these departments, students are then able to better define their interests and consider various career prospects.
Students from Hyrôme and ESUPEC learn about FDI production site professions
By welcoming students to its production site, FDI introduces them to various trades and activities involved in the production and manufacture of FDI access control, intercom and IoT systems.
From SMC workshop to shipping, via test & validation department and assembly & packaging, students will gain an understanding of the diversity of professions practiced within FDI’s EMS 4.0 production plant.

By visiting EMS 4.0 FDI production facility, students explore complete FDI product lifecycle. Students can learn about every step of manufacturing process, from design to shipping.
Students also discover FDI production tools: DEK machines, ERSA ovens, Mycronic SMT lines…
This immersion gives them an in-depth view of technologies employed at FDI and functions at the service of production. Students get a hands-on view of a company’s manufacturing process and discover new, cutting-edge technologies.
