The iPassan IP access control system is smart, simple, state-of-the-art and designed for medium to large residential and commercial buildings.
To enable local decision making, iPassan plants have the ability to store all necessary information and consist of on-board intelligence. If the server were to go down by chance, access control would still be provided.
IP access control for up to 2 doors
The iPassan Access Control UTL has the ability to control up to 2 doors but its capacity can be increased to 6 with a 3/4/5/6 door option card.
The iPassan control units can be connected to each other via the TCP/IP network or via the RS485 bus and can be connected to input or output modules as they also have a secondary RS485 bus. When the control panels are used for 2 doors only, they can be fitted with input or output options instead of a 3/4/5/6 door option.
Manage your PoE controller with iPassan Manager
The iPassan Manager software has been designed to manage your entire system and secure your buildings. Intuitive and powerful, this software is available in Cloud or local version. The basic configuration by the wizard is very simple in eight steps. This IP access control software allows you to view the status of control panels, open doors remotely or monitor events in real time. The software can also integrate the management of lifts.
A secure access control LPU
Designed by FDI, the iPassan 2-door POE base station is an advanced scalable access control station. This POE control unit controls up to two Wiegand proximity readers. To give maximum flexibility, the control unit is compatible with third party Wiegand readers or with Wiegand FDI readers. As the plant is intelligent and stores all necessary information, decisions are made locally.

Power supply
The PoE 2-door iPassan base controller LPU operates with a PoE (Power over the Ethernet) switch or a 24/48VDC power supply.
Connectivity
The connectors on the top of the iPassan controller provide an easy, affordable extension and extra advantage for:
- 12 input/output card or programmable outputs in iPassan Manager software. When it is complemented by the 4-door extension card, it can reach a total capacity of 6 doors per controller.
- The 2-door base controller address is configured by entering the device number in the software.
Communication
An Ethernet port for connecting to the PoE switch.
Two RS-485 communication ports can also be used: one for communicating with other controllers (main) when they are not connected to the local network and one hosting Input/Output extensions (auxiliary).
A USB port for communicating with a server or computer.
Updating firmware
The 2-door iPassan base controller firmware can be updated using iPassan Manager software.
