P40 proximity reader is a 2-wire badge reader specifically designed for integration with the upgradable iPassan, Easy Door, and Transit+ controllers. This innovative 2-wire reader employs our proprietary protocol, providing distinct security features and advanced functionality.
Featuring a modern and adaptable design, it seamlessly integrates into your commercial and residential projects. In addition to Mifare® RFID technology, this reader also supports the use of Bluetooth virtual credentials.

Power supply
P40 RFID reader sources its power from the FDI access controller.
Communication
The proximity reader is linked via a 2-wire connection, enabling continuous bidirectional communication (using the FDI protocol) with the iPassan access control unit (UTL). Controller continuously monitors the reader’s status to ensure it remains connected.
Updating firmware
P40 key reader firmware can be updated via iPassan Manager software.
