The iPassan IP access control system is smart, simple and state of the art. It is designed specifically for medium to large residential and commercial buildings.
Thanks to the storage of all necessary information as well as their embedded intelligence allowing local decision making, iPassan control units ensure access control even if the server is down.
IP access control for up to 4 doors
Four doors can be controlled by the iPassan access control UTL but it has the capacity to be increased to 6 doors with a 5/6 door option card.
The iPassan control units have the ability to connect to each other through the TCP/IP network or through the RS485 bus. A secondary RS485 bus is integrated to allow the connection of input or output modules. If the control units are only used for 4 doors, they can also be fitted with input or output options instead of a 5/6 door option.
Manage your 12V controller with iPassan Manager
The iPassan Manager software makes it easy to manage your entire system and secure your buildings. This intuitive and powerful software is available in a cloud or local version. The initial configuration through the wizard is relatively simple as it is done in only 8 steps. This software allows you to view real-time status of central stations, open doors remotely, manage lifts and track events in real time.
A secure access control LPU
The iPassan 4-door access control unit is an upgradeable unit designed and manufactured by FDI. 4 proximity readers can be managed by it.
Since the control units incorporate our unique protocol, they offer unparalleled security and functionality. Equipped with on-board intelligence, the iPassan central unit stores all the information needed to make local decisions.

Power supply
The 4-door iPassan base access control LPU runs on a 12 VDC power supply.
Connectivity
The connectors on the top of the iPassan controller provide an easy, affordable extension and extra advantage for:
- 12 input/output card or programmable outputs in iPassan Manager software. When it is complemented by the 2-door extension card, it can reach a total capacity of 6 doors per controller.
- The 4-door base controller address is configured by entering the device number in the software.
Communication
Two RS-485 communication ports can also be used: one for communicating with other controllers (main) when they are not connected to the LAN and one hosting Input/Output extensions (auxiliary).
A USB port for communicating with a server or computer.
Updating firmware
The 4-door iPassan base controller firmware can be updated using iPassan Manager software.
